What happens when a mission to protect the United States becomes a race against a nuclear attack?

Submarine Commander Drake Chandler is given what may be his last chance to prove himself. His mission is to conduct surveillance off the coast of North Korea, a country that has recently become the President’s newest ally.

The President believes he has achieved a historic diplomatic victory. North Korea has supposedly agreed to eliminate its nuclear weapons, creating what appears to be a new era of peace.

But beneath the surface, something is wrong.

After arriving on station, Chandler and his submarine come under attack by North Korean forces. While investigating the situation, Drake discovers an unknown communications cable and uncovers information that changes everything: North Korea intends to launch a nuclear weapon against the United States.

Drake reports what he has discovered to the National Command Authority, expecting immediate action. Instead, the information is rejected, and he is ordered to abort his mission and leave the area.

Now Drake faces an impossible decision.

Does he follow his orders and risk allowing a nuclear missile to reach the United States, or does he disobey the chain of command and remain in position to stop the attack?

With the possibility of World War III hanging in the balance, Drake Chandler must decide how far he is willing to go to protect his country.
